I only received one bad grade in my entire life, and that was in 'conduct' in one class.  Without naming names, the teacher was the father of a friend; and the father blamed me for his child's behavior (i.e. late hours).  I would venture to say that this teacher hated me.  However, I was not the negative influence with which I was being charged.  I don't remember anyone offering me a jury trial.
